Empower Network - This Is My True Story

Every morning I would get up, I was blessed for another day but I dreaded my life. I had came to a point in my life where my "on point" was not on point anymore. It was 10 years later and everything had changed, but me! I was no longer "set" because my life needed something different, something better. I had fell behind and struggling living in 2012 with a 2002  mentality. What do I mean by that? Well let me break it down for you:

At age 27, I felt like I was on top of the world. I only had 2 children at the time, in college, and working at the Harris County Sheriff's Office, as a Detention Officer! Yes, I was a Jailer, lol...boots, hand-cuffs, strategies, techniques, and a lot of ambition.

GRAVEYARD SHIFT

My shift at HCSO started from 11 to 7, which was needed because of my children. My wonderful mother would keep my children at night, while I was at work, so that's how I dodged DAYCARE. I went to school online, so my life was on the right track.

 MANDATORY OVERTIME - This Is My True Story

Something horrible happened! My life took to a spin, I went from working night shift to doing MANDATORY OVERTIME  (11 to 7/7 to 3), every other day and sometimes I would have to come in to work on one of my off days! WHAT? That is so crazy, I have children and wanting to have a life, was impossible.

Went from happy and ambitious to depressed and unambitious. Quit school to keep my job, my son with eczema was getting worse, due to my absence at home, and I had gained so much weight ( sitting for 16 hrs and eating delivery).

WAKE UP CALL

When going to work, my daughter (oldest) would cry and I would have to console her after doing HEADCOUNT, everything would be quiet. I did this every night for 5 years, until I got my wake up call.

I had a nightmare of my daughter being on the top of the HCSO building and she was hanging on by one hand. I could hear her saying, " Mama, I can't hold on, Mama help me!" By the time I got there, reached out for her, almost had her, but she couldn't hold on and fell. I woke up with TEARS, I was literally still crying after waking up!

I panicked! I called my mother, told her my dream, and she told me to "drop down on my knees and pray, right now!" All I can see is, I AM LOOSING MY DAUGHTER! On top of that, my son's eczema had gotten so bad (impetigo), that I had to switch shifts, so I can be at home at night.

HCSO switched my shifts, but told me I had to do the Mandatory Overtime. Now this was silly because, the hold point was to be at home more and work less. I quit, to stay at home and take care of my children. After years of searching for something better, I did little jobs here and there.

Nothing really paid enough, so I ended up working at the Houston Police
Department as a Jailer! I KNOW RIGHT! I was working nights and I was even accused of wrong doing, but proven innocent! Of course I was still fired, but not prosecuted...so tired. My daughter was a fresh teenager and my presence is a must.

Once again, Life is trying to tell me something and I am not listening. Unemployed again which led to government assistance and section 8.
Enough of all that thou, my life has turned around again! 10 years later, i'm back up to speed, and I am running!

After following this online company for about a year, I had made up my mind to stop sitting on the sidelines.
Dreams of becoming a Medical Esthetician and opening up my own Medical Spa is no longer. My dreams are becoming a reality, due to me being apart of this movement called EMPOWER NETWORK - This Is My True Story!
